Fairfield Parlour
CLPME-11
Fairfield Parlour - Isle of Wight Music Festival 1970, by Charles Everest.
Fairfield Parlour opened the festival officially at around 2 o'clock that afternoon. Threats had already been made at this time, indicating that the first band on stage would be shot at. Lead singer Peter Daltrey responded to this by turning his back on the audience to 'taunt' the would-be assassin. Thankfully it had all been hot air, or there would have been no festival.
