Jim Morrison - The Doors.- .This is one of the most tragic stories in popular music. Jim Morrison had been considered one of the worlds most beautiful people in the late 1960s, and then shortly afterwards, such as at IOW in 1970, he was having the lights dimmed at his shows to hide his untimely demise. Weight gain, alcohol and drug addiction could have led to his death in 1971 of a suspected heroin overdose. .Like Janice Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and more recently Amy Winehouse, he died at the age of 27.
