Family .- .(1966-1973). Labelled as a Progressive/ Psychedelic rock band, they often explored other genres. Debuting in 1968 at the Albert Hall alongside Pink Floyd, they soon became a well known attraction in the UK underground scene. Their lifestyle and exploits inspired the 1969 novel, "Groupie" by Jenny Fabian. They appeared at the IOW Festival in 1969 & 1970. This festival line up consisted of Roger Chapman (vocals), John 'Polli' Palmer (guitar), Rob Townsend (drums), John 'Charlie' Whitney (guitar) and John Weider (guitar).
