Richie Havens was the man chosen to close the 1970 Pop Festival along with his regular guitarist Paul Williams. As the sun rose Havens played "Here Comes the Sun". Author Brian Hinton having interviewed Charles for his book says "Charles Everest, whenever about to photograph him, recalls that Havens turned his head to show off his impressive profile"! - 1970 Isle of Wight Music Festival (displayed as one of 28 images in the slideshow exhibit of Charles Everest's photographs at the V&A)
