Frankie Miller of Howl.- .Frankie started writing songs at the age of nine, and after playing with a number of bands he joined "The Stoics". After supporting band "Ten Years After" in Germany they appeared at IOW as "Howl". The band soon split up after the IOW festival, unfulfilling a record contract set up with Chrysalis Records earlier that year. .After teaming up with various noted musicians, the "Frankie Miller Band" came into being in 1975, leading to one of his greatest hits "Darlin'" three years later. His work has been covered by Rod Stewart, Joe Cocker, Cher and the Everly Brothers, amongst others.
