CLFE-037E - Sly (Sly and the Family Stone).jpg
Sly and the Family Stone .- .Playing at the Isle of Wight was no mean feat for Sly as he had missed almost a third of his public appearances that year. He was allegedly heavily into drugs, and reportedly becoming suspicious of his band members. In 1972 the conflict became so bad that Larry Graham, his bass guitarist since 1966, quit and moved onto other projects, requiring the temporary recruitment of Bobby Womack to cover his absence
